I built a semi gaming rig about a month ago, Everything was fine everything ran great. Until yesterday.

I went to work so I turned off my computer(I usually put it in hibernate when at work not sure what made me wanna turn it all the way off)

Got back from work, click the switch on the front to turn the pc on, Everything lights up(it has LEDS all over it) for a split second then everything goes off.. I try and turn it back on. Nothing happens.

Flip the switch on the power supply then back on.. Nothing happens again.
The only way to get it to come back on for that split second is to unplug the power cord and re plug it.

I assume this was be a power problem?

Things i have tried are- Different power cord, taking the system completely apart(I left the CPU in the motherboard) but i also took the motherboard out and put thin cardboard under it just in case. just in case there was a short. Same thing happens.

It could be a power supply problem, but i had that happen years ago and my cpu ended up being dead after weeks of working on it. What are the specs on the system? don't forget to include the psu model...

Sounds like a PSU problem, try using a different one.

Biostar A880G micro ATX motherboard

AMD Athlon II x3 @3.2Ghz chip

CORSAIR vengeance x4 RAM(I know it's low)

SAPPHIRE HD radeon 7770 GHZ edition Video card

Raidmax 530watt power supply (model- RX-530SS) I did have problems with the power supply when I first got it but this was my first build and only spent $500 so it might have been something i did wrong and fixed while messing with it.

Raidmax tornado case(red)

I have LED lights and the reset switch for the front of the computer not connected as I'm really not sure where they go. I don't even thing the power switch is in the right spot as I can turn the computer on with the front switch, But I cant turn the system off with the switch i have to use the power supply switch or shut it down in windows(what I usually do)
