cooler master hyper 212 evo blowing backwards?

after installing my hyper 212 evo after market heatsink fan,i noticed that it would pull air from the metal grates, and blow it away from the metal grates. As far as know this is the wrong direction it should be blowing.

did i install the fan wrong? is there a way i can fix this?
all help is appreciated

If you have only one fan, you want that fan to be on the RAM side of the heatsink. It should blow air onto the heatsink (as opposed to having it rearfacing which would pull air off the heatsink).
