In the coming weeks I'm go to be looking into upgrade my mouse and keyboard for something designed for gaming. At the moment I have a £2.50 mouse from Novatech and a standard Dell keyboard, so anything will be an upgrade really.

I'm going to budget myself to £120 for both as I don't want to spend too much money. Wireless isn't something I particularly care for.

Keyboard wise I'd like something with back lighting for night gaming and with the mouse I don't really want too many additional buttons

(Sorry if I sound too needy, just after something that will suit me)

If anyone can suggest anything to me, that would be amazing, and if it helps I prefer MX Red switches

thank you in advance

From Lewis

(Games they'll be used for: Simulators, Racing, TF2, FPS, Minecraft, GTA and others like Portal)

My favorite is the Thermaltake Challenger Pro keyboard.
For mouse a Logitech G500/Razer/Thermaltake/Roccat one. Pick one with 5-6000 dpi and u will be fine. Not mouse makes the pro player :)

I have the Tt Shock One headset and had strongly considered the Challenger Pro, from looking I think I'll get the Logitech G700 and the Challenger Pro

Thanks for the help!
