Tablet Settings insufficient

It appears old "Tablet Settings" (accessed from the Control panel) offered seven tabs, allowing customizable speed, firmness, and other critical options. I'm using a DP10 Yiynova Digitizer Display Tablet, which is working in every regard aside from Pressure Sensitivity-- that is, the sensitivity is very low and therefore of not much use. Nearly every FAQ suggests going to the Control Panel and using "Pen and Touch" or "Tablet PC Settings", neither of which have been sufficient. I cannot find another way to change these settings.
To add insult to injury, the yiynova options are only accessible via control panel (where it is not) and taskbar, which will not allow it to be shown until it has a "notification", which it never will.

Yes, I've been to this website many times. It does not tell me anything helpful I don't already know.
