Is toms maybe just a little biased ??

I was browsing around toms today and it seemed almost every page I went to I had to click away a pop up's for the GTX-760. So many times it actually became quite obnoxious. Come to think this is the way it is every time Nvidia or intel launch new products. Everywhere you look is an ad or an article in total favor of the new products... I am not brand loyal, I buy based on what best suits my needs not the color of the box. That being said I must say it doesn't really seem that AMD receives the same fanfare from toms. There is no plague of ad's, the reviews while far fewer in number also seem to be generally less enthusiastic about the pro's and more criticizing of trivial little things like a noisy cooler or it draws 30 more watts. It doesnt even really seem to be about which is the better performer as when AMD offers a superior product the situation is the same. Is there a reason for this ? Maybe there companies pay toms for the advertising space and a good review or maybe toms just likes them better. Any thoughts ?

I'm gonna upgrade to a GTX 760 as well - probably within the month

and I love Tom's without all the ads because I use Adblock Plus on Waterfox
Paid ads are just that PAID. This is what keeps Tom's(and most websites) FREE

While the background Nvidia image is big it is in a section of the page that it should not be too bad.

The add pool has far more than just Nvidia. HP/VW/Seagate/casemachine/ect

Sorry if the ads do bug you, but it is the way websites pay the bills.

As far as the reviews go, They should all be done in a method that shows one way or another what is better in each respect(performance/power/noise). For some users, 30 watts not more noise is NOT what they may want.

I say this speaking as someone who has just got the first Nvidia card for gaming(I have one in my media center and yes, all for the lower power) since the 8800GTX came out and been on the RED team in the mean time. I buy what meets my needs for sure as do most users.

As usual with any forum you will have fans of both sides, but in general, many users will choose what works best for them(be it AMD or Nvidia/AMD or Intel/ect).
