I recently moved and after connecting everything I cannot see my shared drives from my desktop on my laptop. I don't have internet access yet but that shouldn't matter as long as my router is hooked up correct? Do I need to reconfigure my network or something since there is no longer a modem connected? Wasn't really expecting an issue I just assumed connecting everything would still work the same way. Any troubleshooting suggestions here or is this normal?

Is everything connecting to the router properly? Laptop and Desktop both getting the right IP range? Can you ping each system from the other? The router should be working the same for your internal network without the modem.
