I remember hearing that CAT6 is more precise than CAT5, and it was more difficult to terminate cables to RJ45 as a result. I presumed that also translated to patching your own wall plates, so I ran my two pre-terminated CAT6 cables, which are now poking out of the wall.
If I purchase an RJ45 to RJ45 female connector, will this give me a better signal than cutting the RJ45 ends off and terminating them to wall plates?
