Hello, recently, my computer stopped turning on, and i mean stopped. No beeps, no sounds, so I checked my power supply with the paper clip thing, and I think its a new 650w, so it was fine. But my pc wouldnt turn on still. Does this mean I need a new motherboard? I tryed to plug it into a different outlet. Nothing. and if i do, can you recommend a decent cheap gaming motherboard? Reply quick!

you can try to power motherboard directly, by shorting power on pins or using build in power button on motherboard, not the one on case could be bad button on bad connections.

simply shorting power supply to see if it powers on is not naught, it still can be bad, like not providing naught juice on certain lines, best way is to test with known working one
