I have been playing battlefield 3 all day on my PC, then I gave a break and took a walk. Came back 6 hrs later try to play but it just stay on a black/grey screen. I restarted my PC and try again but the same thing happen.

I tried another game and same results. Then I remove the GPU drivers, but before it finished the computer when to the grey screen again. Restated my PC and before I could get to the desktop, Bom!! Grey screen!!!

I tried my monitor on my other computer and it works fine also, my Xbox is works fine on it too. I tried using DVI, VGA and HDMI to VGA cause my monitor don't have an HDMI port. When my monitor detects my PC is goes to power save mode

Are u using windows? have u tried running on VGA mode (low resolution mode) ? press F8 -> select VGA mode...

this will bypass the driver and use generic windows driver only... if it still crash/bad in the VGA mode i'm afraid it the GPU....

Are you maybe using Avast Antivirus, it is known that avast gives those black screens on Windows 8.

On the other hand they can be caused by installing bad drivers or bad updates, but what worries me is you get those gray/black screens randomly.

The ones I got were only on startup.

Also it could be a Power Supply problem ... they can also cause random restarts.

This is what happens when i tried to boot with that GPU

Then before i can get in windows it goes to gray/black screen before i can get into windows.
Also i tried my GPU in my friends computer and its the same results so i don't think its the cause of a software and i got Eset Nod32

Ok that is very weird ... never seen a problem like that, but if it isn't you GPU than it could be that your Motherboard is damaged.

Maybe its your PSU but I highly doubt it

Or If you have more slots for GPU put it in another slot.

I don't know anymore, you could try reinstalling the Windows if anything else fails.

And if nothing helps you should contact an expert(lots of em here).
