got a good PC and can't seem to handled big battles in skyrim :( while otehrs with very weak systems get like 400+ battles im getting only like 100 at 10 FPS.
ok well i just tried it with abunch of monitoring programs like EVGA precision X and i found out taht during the big battle i was only at like 20% GPU load yet getting only 11 FPS and alot of lag. i don't get it, hopefully somone here can help me figure out what is wrong. i even turned shadows to low and turned off AA and whatever the other one is called. here is some monitoring pics.

It could be your CPU which is the root of most problems in Skyrim. What is your CPU?
Edit: Nevemind, the 3570k should be doing alright but I will tell you that no one has ever gotten even 100 npc on screen at once without getting terrible performance.

Ok, well I was able to get about 200 character (dremora and falmer mix) and my framerate hit down in the 20's to 30's in a place where I normally get flat 60 fps... however I only have an i3-2120 and an HD 7750 so I definitely see where you are coming from:p

Sorry for asking such a stupid question but how do I get all the graphs?
For gpu I use ingame evga precision x temps never when above 40 or 30%load during the battles. So I'm pretty sure it's not my gpu.

CPU and ram no idea how to check I was just using task manager :(

Holy basket full of nipples... 1200 ai and the game didn't crash? I don't even know dude... but I am going to try it out in the same location he did and see what happens.

Update: Ok, tried it with 500 draugr first and almost immediately got 1 fps... so much for that.
