I'm reading post that Asrock Extreme3 bios must be updated so that my CPU will work (FX-6300), my problem is I don't have other CPU to run my mobo to update. Is there other way to update my bios using FX-6300? Asrock Website says that I will save the update in flashdrive, hardisk AND floppy, does that mean that I need to save update on all three drives or I can just save it to my flashdrive?
I'm on a third world, no shop available in our area. :??:

Do you already have the both FX6300 and the MB? Or wil you buy the cpu + MB?

Without the CPU you can't update the BIOS. If you will buy the MB then it is depend on when the MB ships to shop, because you need th BIOS version 1.60 to run the fx6300. And the BIOS (P1.60) came out 7/5/12, if it shipped after that date you are fine otherwise you need the other cpu to update the BIOS.

You can download the BIOS to the flashdrive to do the update.

Yes I already have the parts, actually I'm just waiting for my monitor. I check my mobo and there's a sticker that says P1.60 hope this is the version of the bios. thanks man.

If you see the P1.60, that means you are OK and good to go.
