Need help for budget Intel i3 3225

Hi i just want to make this clear and fast, i want to build a rig, worth $600-650 Just the tower only. No OS needed.

And i want to some things to include in package, Both Intel core i3 3225 and gtx 660ti.

well... to be honest, the i3 3225 isnt a great chip for gaming at $139 (@newegg.com), which i can presume is the intent for this system with your inclusion of the gtx 660ti. i can recommend a good build, but with the following disclaimer: you can get a better performing processor for minimal increase in price, the I5 3350P, $179 @newegg.com. also, a better performing graphics card for $30 cheaper than the 660ti (For a good brand that is) the GTX 760 is $249, has a higher memory bandwidth, and less power/heat.

All items on both carts are all free shipping items. I would act quickly on that 2nd cart if you dont absolutely have to use those parts you mentioned, cause the rebates and promo codes (its just one for the power supply) might expire soon!

Hope this helped and I'm not trying to rope you into something you dont need, just offering slightly better bang for the buck. A quad core processor would suit you better for gaming and the GTX 770 is a better, brand new video card that uses less power and causes less heat. With a mere $45 difference in price, I would highly recommend using the 2nd cart i suggested.

Thanks for the answer, now ill go with the i5 and gtx 760, is there anything you can cut that 700+ to $650?

Sure theres ways to cut money. if you can find a cheaper deal on memory (newegg often puts up 8gb kits for very cheap), or only want to get 4gb of memory. a cheaper power supply is def possible but likely wont be as reliable, but again, you can cut that down if you want. also I suppose if you find a cheaper case you could shave off a few dollars there too. the one thing you can change is the motherboard, ASrock makes an H77PRO4 for about $20 cheaper, also on newegg.com.

the other option to cutting cost on the build would be to go with an AMD Quad Core APU (A10 5600k is only $129) and motherboard... that will shave about $50 off total price. but as an intel enthusiast, I can't honestly recommend that. intel just makes a better chip in my humble opinion. see if there are any sales on memory, case, hard drive, dvd roms, and swap the motherboard for the H77PRO4 by ASRock, shave off what money you can, and let me know if everything worked out for you.
