Im building my first ever PC that I want for games and I was wondering if my Monitor native resolution is 1920x1080 for example can I play games at a higher resolution or am I fixed to that one?
Im getting the gtx760 so it will be fine for 1920x1080 its just getting the cash for a monitor with that resolution as spent alot of my budget on my rig without thinking about the monitor or keyboard and mouse
You will need to check the monitors specifications, it will tell you there buddy, if your native resolution is 1920x1080 then that is the maximum you can play on that individual monitor.
Nah man that's the highest you can go but you can go lower if you want at the same aspect ratio 16:9. I think 1600x900 is the most common one below that.

Depends on your monitor and/or software you use. You can only see the native resolution 1920x1080 for sure but the actual image can be over border of your native resolution ....it is kind of like a scroll bar. Good for some software not so much for games.
You will need another monitor or get high resolution monitor. You can get overloard it is less expensive. http://overlordcomputer.com/
