Hi guys,

I'm using an AMD Athlon II x2 and I've decided to start overclocking it. As I'm using Ubuntu Linux, I found a program called Turion Power Control ( But I also have k10ctl ).

What's the best settings to overclock the Athlon? and if possible, how do I make it persistant? ( As in how do I enable the settings after a reboot? )

Oh and I don't know if this would be helpful but here are my system specs:
AMD Athlon II x2 ( stock clock ),
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 ( Running with smart fan control disabled ).
Asus M4A78LT-M LE Motherboard.

Just tried using the auto settings in the bios and that's saying I have it at just over 3Ghz.

As soon as I boot into linux and run prime95 and the lspci command, it says the cpu is running at stock of 2.8Ghz.

Any ideas?
