Suggestions for upgrading storage drive?

I want upgrade my storage drive for gaming purposes, specifically Sims 3. Currently, my documents folder is on the HDD. My load times are ridiculous and I think it’s because of the slow HDD.

My current configuration is below. The 128gb mSATA SSD is my boot drive that also holds my applications. The 5400rpm 1tb HDD is my storage drive. I’d like to upgrade my HDD, but I don’t know which route to take. I’d rather stick to SSHDs or HDDs because of cost / storage ratio. I’m leaning toward an SSHD, but with the hard drive aspect of it being only 5400rpm, will I see any real improvement compared to my current setup? Or should I just stick to a 7200rpm HDD? Would it even benefit me to upgrade my storage drive? Ideally, I’d like to get a 6gbs/s 1tb 7200rpm SSHD with 64gb cache, but that’s proving impossible.

My budget is around $100 for a 1tb 2.5” storage drive. Less is ideal, but I can stretch it if I find something great. Thanks in advance!

Processor- 3rd Generation Intel Core i7-3630QM Processor (2.40GHz 1600MHz 6MB)
Operating system- Windows 8 64
Graphics- NVIDIA GeForce GT750M GDDR5 2GB
Memory- 8.0GB PC3-12800 DDR3 SDRAM 1600 MHz
Hard Drive- 1TB 5400 RPM and 128GB SSD

I think the Barracuda is 3.5", not 2.5"?

How much memory do you need? If you can afford it, get a 500GB SSD. You'd be amazed at the difference in speed. Or look for a 1TB, 2.5" sata3 HDD 7200RPMs with at least 64MB of cash RAM. You can clone either the HDD or the SSD and then pop it right into your laptop.

Is your storage HDD port a sata 2 or 3? If it is only a sata 2 then just get a sata 2 HDD with the specs above.

Edit:
Something like this would do nicely for you, a SSHD:

I'm pretty sure it's a SATA 3, which makes it even more difficult. I really don't want to spend the money on a large capacity SSD, but I'm having the hardest time trying to find a 7200rpm laptop hard drive. At this point I'm thinking I should just upgrade my 128gb mSATA to a 256gb for a little extra storage, because I honestly don't need that much high speed storage. I didn't want to do that, but it looks like it may be my best option.

That 1TB Seagate SSHD that I linked to above, would be perfect, IMO. You could always get a smaller capacity drive like that too, for less money.

I didn't see your edit before replying for some reason... I was actually looking at this exact SSHD a little earlier and leaning toward it. I don't have any experience with SSHDs, but it seems like it may be the way to go, especially after your recommendation. I'm still a little concerned about the 5400rpm speed, but should I be? The only thing I need fast access to is my Sims 3 files, which it should cache to as I frequently access those files, correct? Other than that, 5400rpm speeds are fine (to me) for pictures, Word docs, etc. Sorry, I'm just trying to wrap my head around it. Thanks for your help.

How about this one? A good 5 year warranty too. 750GB.

Western Digital Black, probably the best choice.
