There are lots of them, but they are pretty much universally reviled. Origin is EA's. Ubisoft had one. Some websites have their own clients. The only one really worth using is steam. games for windows live is just a horror.

I see dang I want to find better scrolling shooter like Raiden which was released for Xbox they had like a collection released for it. Unfortunately it's only for xbox otherwise I have to emulate it. I would prefer getting my games legally unless nobody holds rights to them anymore and it's safe to download them. Plus emulating can be a pain sometimes. All I could find for a scrolling shooter on Steam was Jamestown and I don't really find it too much interesting I hope Steam gets better games soon and a geater selection for peak's sake I'm dying here lol!
Google "scrolling side shooter steam" and you'll get plenty of suggestions. Steam has by far the most games and supports indie developers that are more likely to use that style of game
Checked it out not really what I had in mind. Thinking like Raiden or Mars Matrix style type shooters that's not Jamestown. Otherwise I see Jamestown being the only real vertical scrolling shooter that was listed in the Steam forum when I searched it. Thanks for trying though much obliged.
