ssd for boot drive

Solution
Loading the OS on an SSD is a great thing to do, really makes your system more responsive and feel like new. You just install it into your machine like you would a regular hard drive and reinstall windows on that drive. Make sure you back up all your data because it will probably be a good idea to format your old hard drive so it doesn't have old windows files on it.

Once you have windows installed on the new SSD you can put what ever else you want on it just like your original HDD.
