SD card Help

I need help with my sd card. I can see the pictures on the camera but they won't come up on the computer. I've tried using the cable but that doesn't work either. I don't want to lose the pictures; I wanted to print them. Help please!

What I do is to take the camera SD card, put it a SD->usb adaptor. Plug it into the usb port on my computer.
Treat the SD card just like a thumbdrive. Navigate to the directory where your pictures are stored (they will NOT be in the root directory (Director same=same as folders). Then copy them to a folder on your HDD. Verify that you can open them.

If all is good you can delete them on the SD card just like any other file.

Make sure you didn't click the physical lock button on the SD card. There should be a little slider on the outside to prevent writing to the drive (might prevent reading as well). It could also be the adapter your using to connect to your computer, try a different one if you can or take it down to your local walgreens/walmart and stick it in their picture printing machines.
