Tv says no signal when I connect to pc (new build)

I've just built my new pc and after I've got everything working (mobo light is on and all fans are on) I plug it into my tv with hdmi and it says "no signal" I've ran out of ideas and I'm not sure what to do. Thanks for the help in advance

Hi,

With the information you've given, there is no way for us to tell if the problem is with your new computer build itself or with interfacing it to your TV or otherwise.

Does the computer POST? Has the computer worked elsewhere?

Do you have another screen you can use for testing?

What kind of interface are you using to connect it to the TV? Is the input method on the TV set accordingly with that interface?

You want help... but you don't do much to help us... help you, lol! Please provide more information.

Are you using an integrated or discrete graphics card? What interface are you using to connect to the TV? HDMI? VGA? Did you try with a different cable? Did you make sure the TV was set to the right input?

You also didn't say if the computer ever worked at all? Were you able to get a display ever before? Do you have another monitor to test it? It could be set to a resolution unsupported by your TV, so you could use another monitor to change the resolution.

Well I'm using hdmi and tried VGA, I've tried another tv and this is the first time the pc has booted up. I don't get any sign of it connecting it just says no signal and I know that all settings on the tv are correct. I think that's everything lol, just say if I've forgot anything
