I was wondering if I would notice a difference in adding more DDR2 even if it is a different brand. I currently have 4GB (2x2GB). Would I notice a difference in gaming and general computing tasks? I know its always recommended to stay with the same type of memory but what if i got a different brand but still the same speed memory?

It's not a good idea to mix sticks, actually even of the same model if from different packages, especially at 1600 and above, today alone I am working with about 7 members who tool this advise of sure they'll work together and and have 7 very frustrated members because the sticks didn't work together
