Best Budget Gaming Intel CPU??

Hi What is the best Intel CPU for budget gaming? It doesn't matter if it is a Pentium, i3, or core 2_ . I just want the CPU that will give me very good performance for the price. Really just anything under $130. The reason im choosing intel is because of the Bitfenix Prodigy. Thanks

Currently, the best Intel CPU you can get under $130 is the i3-3220. You can wait for the Haswell i3s too, but there's no real release date yet.

See I have seen people claim this one is the best, but are there any others that you would recommend? Cause this CPU seems to be the one getting the most votes and I have not seen any other cpu's being recommended.

1. The i3s support newer standards such as DDR3, PCIe 3.0 and SATA III which the C2Ds don't support.
2. The Pentiums lack Hyper-Threading, DDR3-1600 support, and are weaker in general.

And AMD wouldn't fit the Bitfenix Prodigy?

As they say, more and more games support quad-cores and unfortunately the i3 is only a dual-core. AMD offers cheaper options in the quad-core department. For instance, the Phenom-II X4 is cheaper than the i3-3220 and probably a better gaming option. Otherwise if you absolutely want Intel you'll have to increase your budget and go with an i5 quad-core which is around 200$. But that all depends on the games you'll be playing and what resolution, certain titles need a quad-core, others do fine with a dual-core.
