Nvidia has released 8.1 certified drivers, you can upgrade with no worry.

Still mind the 8.1 is a preview edition, there might be a few minor bugs. I also consider trying 8.1, it couldn't hurt trying. You can always recover your PC back to an earlier state, if you don't like it.

Ok...thanks...has anyone in the Tom community experienced any gaming on 8.1 and is there any improvement in games like metro or crysis 3??

Well, I've had bad luck trying to get "Ghostbusters: The Video Game" to start on Window 8.1.

It just doesn't launch and I get an application fault in the Event Logs...

The thing is, I've for some reason become obsessed with getting the game to work in 8.1 (I haven't finished with it yet) and I've downgraded from 8.1 to 8 twice(!) and heck, it is just 8.1 that it's not working on.

I'm suspecting that the NVIDIA graphics driver might be to blame, though I really can't tell. The application fault I'm seeing in the event logs is really generic.

I've been searching and keep finding reports of games not working on 8.1, so I'd be cautious.
