i just had a modest gpu upgrade which is requiring me to upgrade my psu up from a crappy 300w stock

the card only requires a 430w gpu. should i just get something like 5-600w with future upgrades in mind?

If I do get something higher, i wanna make sure it is all i would need in the future. If i need to upgrade PSU more again, that would defeat the purpose of futureproofing it today.

I have no idea what the power usage numbers are like, which is why im asking. I probably wont be doing SLI and stuff. Maybe a high end single card and a decent processor to pair it with.

also, could you recommend some good models for whichever capacity you suggest?

Thanks.

If Newegg is accessible to you, buy the XFX 550W PSU for $39.99. It is on sale for the holiday and ends tomorrow so I advice that you jump on it fast. That PSU can handle any single top-end GPU.
