I have an HP Pavillion p7-1549 desktop that I just bought a month ago, but I have discovered that the video card, named above, cannot support 3D and high res features that are a part of many of the games that my daughter and I play. I bought this computer because it was a reasonably priced gaming system, but you wouldn't believe how difficult it is to get an answer to this simple question. Please help.

Anyways, the AMD Radeon HD 7570 is an OEM card, meaning that it's only available inside pre-built computers from companies such as Dell, HP etc. AMD drivers don't work with this card, only HP's drivers will. Go to HP's website and try to find the latest drivers, that might help.
Please give more details as to what games you are experiencing problems with, and as to what exactly your 'simple question' is.
