I bought this computer used about 2 years ago and never had any overheating issues with it. Recently, while playing some games that never used to have any overheating problems at all (TF2, Saints Row 3, Total War: Shogun 2), my laptop completely powers off in the middle of playing after about 30 minutes. I've tried all the solutions I could find including cleaning all of the dust that I could see in the internals of the laptop, updating graphics drivers, and reapplying thermal paste on the gpu, yet the issue still persists.

Before posting here, I played until my computer overheated like it always has been doing, but this time with GPU-Z making a log in the background. The peculiar thing about the log was that it showed the gpu temps constantly rising from 52ºC to 90ºC (when the computer shutdown abruptly) over the course of the 30 minutes. However, once the gpu hit 81ºC the gpu fan speed's rpm went from fluctuating through 2-400 rpm's to 0 rpm's until the computer overheated (81-90ºC). While the gpu fan speed was at 0 rpm's (81-90ºC) , the GPU-Z's log noted the fan speed's at 100% even though they were getting 0 rpm.

I am very sorry if this sounds confusing so I will include a link to the log

If anyone here can help me with this issue I will be forever grateful because I am getting very tired of trying to fix this!
