New board can't control system fans

So I just finished a new build:

Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3
AMD FX-8350
16GB Patriot DDR3 1600
etc., etc., in my older Apevia X-Pleasure case.
http://www.apevia.com/ProductsInfo.asp?KEY=MX-Pleasure-BK#

My case has an analog adjuster for fan speed. It worked great with my old board (Biostar T-Force 550), but it doesn't work with the new board, and the BIOS can't see the system fans. My fans don't have the small PWM 4-pin connectors, just the big ones. The fans are all running at full speed and it's loud enough to be annoying. Is there any way to get my board to control these fans?

Thanks

did you try speed control with connecting your fan to cpu fan and system fan 1?
u can refer to manual that the two fan pin definition showing the speed control pin is located to pin 2.
so the 3 pin fan should be with the function.
