Every so often, the Realtek audio manager pops up. (it pops me out of games and is generally annoying) I have a gigabyte GA-X79S-UP5-WIFI.

Also, A notification will pop up briefly with it saying an audio jack has been unplugged. (It says headphones) I have no head phones hooked up. I have nothing hooked up an audio jack except my speakers which are logitech Z313's.

They suck because I can't adjust the bass volume. I have to lower my volumes because if I do not, the bass is so loud. I even had to place it on a towel to help lower it. (I have hardwood floors)

Anyway, I ordered some Harmon Kardon Soundstick III's to replace them. Hopefully that will fix it. If it isn't, I am wondering if it is the motherboard 'sound card.'

Side note: Ha, it happened while typing this. It pops up realtek HD audio manager in the Speakers tab.

Also, I was going to replace the speakers even if it wasn't causing this issue.

Go to Realtek Audio manager Settings by clicking on the Gear icon, there is a small Tool icon on the bottom right corner of the screen, click that and choose Disable Popup when audio jacks are connected or something similar. There should be two radio buttons, just choose the one saying " Disable . . . . . ".

Hope that helps.
