I'm a little tight on money, now I know that 8gb and i5 3470 will give a superior experience, but I will be playing on 1366x768 resolution and I don't mind if it's on med/high settings. Is it worth the extra money for the i5 and the extra RAM for gaming? (I'm trying to build a cheap and good tower) Thanks!

The PSU is Corsair CX 500W, and the graphics card is hd 7770, by the way.

Go with the i5 and 4G of ram for not a lot cheaper to add ram than replacing a cpu.

Go with the i5 and a single 4gb stick of RAM. You will thank yourself later for buying a quad core.

Ok guys thanks, I just wanted to make sure that 4GB of RAM would be enough for gaming. I usually close all apllications before playing so that I have some RAM left, I'm now on a laptop with 4gb ram and I never got problems so I might do what you guys said

You'll thank yourself later. IMO, the most import thing with RAM right now is making sure you get the Maximum amount you can afford, which for you means a single 4Gb stick and that the speed is 1600Mhz with good timings. I made the mistake of going dual channel 8Gb, and now I regret it as I am stuck with 4sticks of ram. I'm probably going to sell them on Ebay, get my money back, and buy 2 4Gb sticks for when I upgrade in the future. However, I will miss my LEDs.
