Ok so here is my question; I have a windows rig with five HDDs and I rly want to install macOSx for doing vid editing and work and stuff that i'll be too distracted to do in a windows environment. My 5th HDD is currently empty and I have a 2006 MacBook with OSx leopard that is 64 bit and I am wondering if I could somehow install that copy of the os onto my main rig and run it from my 5th drive and have some sort of way to chose what OS I start the comp with other than changing boot order. I will list my hardware in my rig if you ask for compatibility check.

Solution
I might go for a newer operating system since leopard is at least 5 years old. Mountain Lion only costs $20 from the mac app store. (You'd have to find a friend who has a mac because leopard doesn't have the app store) Obviously there's some "shady" ways to get it. ;) The disk you have for OSX from your laptop is usually machine specific unless you got the retail version to upgrade to it or something. So as for trying to move it over, it would be very difficult.. but probably possible with a LOT of work. Also, do you have an intel processor? That's pretty much necessary without a lot of work because AMD isn't supported by OSX but Intel is. If you have Intel, this is a good guide to do Mountain Lion...

Try that guide i mentioned up above.. Just install it on that one hard drive. I'm not exactly sure how you'd choose.. I know on my hackintosh I can hit f9 on the boot and it shows me which drive I want to boot from.. I don't think it changes the boot order.
