hi my friend has a samsung laptop running on the amd a6 apu, but for some reason it wont go above 1.35ghz when booted.

i managed to get it to turbo clock after disabling fast boot once, and after that he got above 60 fps in games and alo of speed in general, but now its gone back down and is once again stuck on a lower clock, any ideas to the reason, i think its a driver issue but i could be mistaken

Solution
Might be doing speedstep regardless of the power profile. Try running prime95 or something CPU intensive to see if the multiplier pulls the frequency up.

Is the laptop set to "High Performance" in power options, that might be the solution....
