last week my rig died -.-, i think i have narrowed it down to the mobo, i had the 6300 oc'd to 4.5ghz on the 212 plus cooler, now i have to replace the board.. do i switch to intel while i have the chance and get the new haswell with a z87 mobo?

or do i stay with the vishera and invest in a gtx 770 instead? hmm..

Pc spec:

mobo: dead

You'll likely have more preformance with a 770 + 6300, though the i7 will give you much more room for upgrades in the future.

It's a tough one since you sill have the CPU. If you can get a decent price for it used I'd say go for it. i7 IPC is so much higher than AMDs right now (especially FX) it's hard to go for them for high-end gaming anymore IMO.

If you are ok with what you had before you died, just keep it. The i7's IPC is far greater than the 6300 but you won't notice it in most games.
