Hi all,
hope you can help me with this issue. I dont know is this coming from motherboard, ssd or video card but somethings going on. But since its about the display going blank (read further) gonna place it in this forum.

it took me couple of years to collect and assamble this config. Lately made some changes, like buying new display that is a 55` samsung tv )the previous one was also samsung but 42`' and just a week ago decided to take 2 wd 1 tb disks out of the pc and install ssd (to keep the case cool and to speed up the whole sistem) replaced an old video card for the new one too. For the first time ever had smoothest windows installation , but then it all started. Firstly i lost a possibility to see bios start up. I learned that new samsungs tv´s wont support the resolution of 800x600 which the bios is shown but ok no problem. everything is all right (and yes to use this ssd i did set up ahci thingie in bios)
but now everytime just a minute after I start the pc the screen goes black and I must restart it.. then it works smoothly.

i am simply clueless. have no idea whats going on. the screen is just black.
Before I decided these changes it was cause the cpu temps went so high (78 deg) so finally it was time to clean the pc, rearrange things and finally to change the video card, harddrives in general all of the things they were warming up the pc.
further I AM NOT OVERCLOCKING. use the pc mostly for watching movies and series.
Someone suggested decreasing voltage control in bios. and i did it but i just reduced it from suggested to -0.25 volts, can this be the reason?
Any smart people please help/ its not such big thing but i really feel sorry to electrocute my pc
Thanks for all your answers

it was sapphire 5770 i am also planning to connect the hdmi to on board graphics to see if thats the issue but if i am gonna reset all bios settings, any unwanted surprises i might expect?

A voltage increase probably will not achieve anything to be honest. And anyway, you should NEVER increase voltages unless you absolutely know what you are doing, have good cooling and have a good reason to. A voltage increase is the easiest way to create a nice big expensive paperweight!

Have you tried plugging it back into the old TV by any chance? Could be a problem with the new one?

lol, thanks for all your answers. anyway i decreased the voltage cause of the high temp of the cpu, so i thought just to put them back. i honestly dont remember if i tried with old tv but gonna do it after work to see if thats the problem. strange, with old hardware i had no issues connected to the new tv. i had my suspicious on the new ssd cause thats unknown territory for me...

Try the old TV, and if this works then theres most likely a problem with the new one. =)
As far as SSD's go, they are really not as scary as most people think. Just make sure that you ahve set the correct TRIM and garbage settings, that you NEVER defgrag the SSD (Check auto defrag settings.) and that you leave at least 20% of it free. Aka, lets say you have a 60Gb SSD, this is about 55gb formatted, so you need to keep 11gb free. This is for performance reasons. =)

I doubt whether the ssd would have anything to do with your display issues. Trying the old tv is a good shout as it will at least narrow down the search for the problem. If it works on old then we know its related to the new, if it doesn't work on either we can start looking at cables and new hardware etc. Thats why I mentioned just putting the voltage back to default while we try and sort it so its at its normal state.

What outputs do you have on the back of the card

To me it sounds like your passively cooled 7750 is running too hot and shutting down and possibly heating the air in your case as well which is making your CPU run hotter. How well is your case ventilated? With that passively cooled card you definitely need to make sure cool air is constantly being drawn into the case and hot air expelled.

its not the issue cause this happens after one minute i start the pc plus passive cooling, i did actually placed one extra fan to blow direction the card

You know, i am getting there exchanging these messages with you :)
found something helpful, and thats something about disabling power settings in bios.
If Windows was recently upgraded, Windows might be starting up into a Power Saving state and producing the blank screen before it loads. After Windows loads (about 2 minutes after turning on the computer), press the power button briefly or press the Suspend key on the keyboard to see if the computer comes out of a suspended state. If the computer opens into a suspended state every time the computer is started, use the following steps to disable Power Savings in the BIOS. and then follows...
however. gonna start there. first try starting widnows on the tv i used before, and if it goes blank try to see about this power saving.. then i can try taking the battery out of the motherboard well hell if i dont get somewhere with all this ;-)

Nice! =)

I have always found that the complex problem is almost always solved with a basic solution. I always try to start from the bottom, no matter how stupid it feels. This is why I advise you to try your old TV. =)

thank you. its very nice indeed. even thogh the display has just, to me at least, no function at all it only looks great.
i did also with the case open, actually i am getting cooler inside with the box closed but indeed fan is blowing down on the components

I thought/think so too, thats why i did try something, and i was really happy to find something hidden (as follows)
start>control panel>hardware and sound>power savings>edit setings (thats the option to turn off monitor or computer after some time but under was a link>edit energy settings and then a popup with option SLEEP never seen those and it was set for 5 min. i changed to never , and i hoped. lol
unfortunatelly it didnt work. screen went blank after a min. this weekend have more time to play so i am going to start with the old tv and see further whats going on.

i just finished doing that, cause with all the possible combinations, and screen blanking pffff this was last to try. Jesus, if I could only post a here, if you could only see that, screen blinking, lines everywhere wow but only on new tv, the old one is holding. , I managed to turn it off and then I thought, I have it connected via onkyio receiver to hdmi 1 port. there are 4 ports, and port 2 on the manual is for pc. can this be so stupid? that connected to port oneforsatellite box wowould be blanking the screen? so far it's looking good. tomorrow new try out, cause it's my last day I can return the video card, so I'll keep you all posted. anyway thanks for caring people :) means a lot

Is it working now? I may have missed it in an earlier comment but the receiver being in the middle of the signal delivery probably would have peaked everyone's attention immediately. I have my HTPC running through a Pioneer receiver and have had issues with HDCP handshake, res, and refresh rate.
