I have posted this on GeForce forums, but thought I would post here as well.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have just bought a new Toshiba x70
http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/products/computers/qosmio/x70/psplta-014001
It features a 3GB NVIDIA 770M
I cannot get the drivers to update/install.
I have spent 2 whole days trying with every solution I can think of.
Windows 8x64
UAC is off.
1. Auto detecting graphics card on NVIDIA website does not work.
2. Downloading and running 320.49 results in:
"NVIDIA installer cannot continue, the graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware"
3. Editing nvtd.inf and ListDevices.txt to include:
nvtd.inf:
DEV_11E0&SUBSYS_FA771179 "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770M"
[NVIDIA_SetA_Devices.NTamd64.6.2]
%NVIDIA_DEV.11E0.FA77.1179% = Section081, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_11E0&SUBSYS_FA771179
[Strings]
DiskID1 = "NVIDIA Windows Vista / 7 / 8 (64 bit) Driver Library Installation Disk 1"
NVIDIA = "NVIDIA"
NVIDIA_A = "NVIDIA"
NVIDIA_DEV.11E0.FA77.1179 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770M"
in the correct places results in the installation running to about 10%, then the driver fails to install.
4. editing nvcvn.inf in a similar way results in the same error as #3.
I am at my wit's end, please help.
