Hi all,
my PC has the following config
Intel core 2 duo 2.4 GHz
ASUS p5kpl-am/ps
4 GB DDR2 RAM
450 w power supply
Windows XP 32 bit
Samsung LED monitor with 1920*1080 resolution

I don't want to upgrade my PC till next year but would like to play games like assassin's creed 3 or GTA 4 on this PC now without the PC hyperventilating :)
I thought if I get a graphics card like GTX 650ti then it will be a little bit future proof and I could upgrade my system next year. Is the GTX 650ti backwards compatible? - I think my mobo has a pciE x16 2.0 slot. Also since XP has directX 9 will that create any issues with the card? They have an updated driver on the website for the card for XP and directX 9, but I read elsewhere that in the beginning there were issues for XP. So what would you guys recommend...
Thank you.

Your computer is compatible with a GTX 650 ti as long as your power supply has at least 20 amps on the +12V rail and a six pin power connector. But your CPU might bottleneck a GTX 650 ti a little bit so you won't be able to use it to its full potential.

The PDF on the site had this info - +12V Rails : Enhanced Dual rails 12V1, 12V2 output I guess I may have to change the PSU as well. So you recommend Corsair or coolermaster in India?
