So I've just finished putting my computer together, everything is hooked up correctly, fans run, lights up etc when I start it up.

After a few seconds it'll just shut off. I can have enough time to enter bios ( heat isn't an issue, nor is power usage) my first thought was maybe I somehow overlooked how much power I needed.

My build is:
Asus saber tooth 990fx r2 motherboard
Powercolor radeon hd7850 video card
Amd fx 6 core processor
Arctic xtreme CPU cooler
Raid max 730 w power supply
1.5 tb wd hard drive
2x 8 gigs of ram
Lg Blu ray player
2x shark 14cm fans

That's pretty much it. I checked all the parts power usage and my 730 should cover it.

I opened the side to kind of see what's going on when it shuts off. The only thing I can see is that on the motherboard I noticed there's a 'CPU led' and when it turns on, the computer soon after turns off.

Any suggestions?

According to this: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/299757-30-asus-p8z6...

Seems the CPU LED light means there's an error.

Looking at that link there have been some complaints about the saber tooths. Quite an old link (2011ish) but could be the same problem? Further down the thread seems quite helpful, alot of people having to contact the supplier to exchange it.

Before doing that have you checked all leads going from the PSU to the MB? especially the 8pin CPU? Ram is completly in correctly? CPU seated fine with all pins looking good?
