Hello.

What GPU will provide the best bang for the buck?

Prices where I live are not the same as in US, here how it goes:

Gigabyte 7950 3GB - 322 USD
Gigabyte 760 OC 2GB - 291 USD (maybe ~300)
MSI 7870 GHz OC 2GB - 229 USD
MSI 660Ti OC 2GB - 279 USD
Gigabyte 660 OC 2GB - 202 USD

I do not plan to overclock, and I do not care about free games with AMD GPUs.

The Gigabyte 760, actually any 760 has more bang for the buck. There some around $250 and $275 that look really good on newegg.com. Give it a look because $291 doesn't seem right.

EDIT:Sorry I didn't read the part about where you live, but still, The 760 performs right on par with the 7950. That pretty much explains everything. The 660 is good because of the low price and the 660ti is not even worth considering.

Given the prices in your local area, splitting them by tier in Graphics Card Hierarchy Chart the 760 is cheaper than the lower performing 7950; the 7870 GHz OC is cheaper than the lower performing 660Ti; while the 660 OC stands along in the lowest performing tier.

Having recently had my hands on three different 7870 LE's (Tahiti GPU) from two different manufacturers, all of which were *loud* and either overheated horribly (90+degrees C) or had unexplained 'incompatibilities' with the <1 year old Ivy Bridge Windows 8 PC they were put in, I wouldn't buying this generation of AMD cards, even if I did want their bundled games.

By all accounts, the performance of the 760 blows away all of these card for the same price or just a little more and comes remarkably close to the 7970 level of performance for a lot less. Just read the reviews.

yeah i know, but then the amd cards do come with pretty good games. really depends if you want them really. both cards perform in the same areas anyways

The game package that amd was selling in the states is pretty much sold out. You only get Crysis 3 now with the XT

What chart would you suggest with 7950 non-boost, 760, 7870 GHz, 660 Ti, 660 - or at least most of them?

This will be great if chart has min FPS too - not just average.

this is a very good review of the gtx 760 with the other cards you are choosing from, even the hd 7870 xt is included(sometimes)

LOL it's bull because they don't share his same opinion. This is what they say in Tom's
"Today, GeForce GTX 760 fills in the space between. It doesn't do anything revolutionary in terms of performance, trailing GeForce GTX 670 by a fair margin. But its legacy is going to be pushing those frame rates down to $250. At that price point, the 760 does battle where you'd expect to find Radeon HD 7870, GeForce GTX 660, and a couple of discounted Radeon HD 7950s. It’s about $30 less expensive than the cheapest GeForce GTX 660 Tis, too (no wonder that model is scheduled to disappear rather quickly)."

I recommend that you all read the revoiew and check the benchmarks

;p sorry after giving it a look the gpu chart actually isn't (the cpu one is because those test arn't real world benchmarks and will give you a wrong idea from the cpu's)

And my vote goes to the gtx 760, In my country you dont get the free games with the hd 7950 wich makes the gtx 760 a better bang for the buck when comparing the the hd 7950 when it's not oc'ed(some people dont want to oc) and the gtx 760 is a significant step up compared to the hd 7870 xt and it cost just a little more.
