Just as the title says,I have overclocked my i7 860 3 months ago or so,due to the fact that I´ve purchased a Radeon 7850 GPU and I was getting bottlenecked in all the games.
So far,so good.
I haven´t had any problems with my overclock nor BSODs or freezes and the bottleneck has been removed,now I can run the games just the way I want(or close).
The problem is I have no bl00dy idea of how to overclock,I´ve overclocked all by myself and by reading forums,setting the settings to what I think it was and is right.
My CPU Ratio is 21,my BLCK is 166 I think,DRAM Frequency 1320Mhz(I have 1333Mhz RAM) and the CPU Voltage in BIOS is set to manual and 1.200.
The PC is stable as long as I don´t touch anything.
IT´S RUNNING AT 3.45 Ghz.
When I do(change the O.C. settings),I get a slow PC.
Turbo is OFF,HT is OFF and C1E is OFF.
My GPU is also overclocked.
It´s been 3 months now since the overclock and my PC looks really solid,20 loops in Intel Burn Test on Maximum shown no errors and the temps are max 60 C while stressing.
Idle is 38 and gaming 45-48,maybe 50 but rarely(Core temps).
I use an Antec Kuhler H20 620.
So,what do you guys,who know about overclock,make of this?
Is it stable?
I game,I benchmark,stress and use my PC many hours a day since 3 months ago when I overclocked and nothing bad happened,it runs really great in games and so on.
I have yet to see installation errors or browsers crashing and so on(results of bad overclock).None so far!
What do you guys think of the overclock,of my temps and why is CPU-Z saying CPU Voltage is 1.16?
And most important,what the h3ll am I doing?!
