I have a ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0; this means I cannot use Nvidia's SLI because it's not compatible with my motherboard.
I am having thoughts of this situation which is why I came here.
I am wondering whether to still get an EVGA 660 Ti SC but not having the option to add another in the future stops me.
If I buy one of the AMD's, I can use their CF in the future if I wanted to.
Here are some of the games I want to play in the near future, starting with the games I will play the most at the top:

Minecraft (with shaders)
BF4
BF3
Borderlands 2

So could you let me know what I should do considering my situation?

Solution
None of the above ...... GTX 760

Performance
GTX 760 - 97%
7870 - 80%
7950 - 89%
660 Ti - 92%

Good 7950 / 660 Ti comparison

I'd avoid the SC series from EVGA as its VRM typically has less phases than the competition from Gigabyte, Asus and MSI.

Also recent data has confirmed what many peeps have been saying subjectively for a few years ..... Crossfire has issues. AMD is targeting a fix by July 31.

Although I can see this being an issue with a 7970, there seems to be enough bandwidth to accommodate a 7870.
