my case, for reference - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

About to custom paint my case, i know the process, have the materials, my question now is this: my case, on the side facing the room and the side getting the big ole logo i chose has a honeycombed side panel where the fans go. how will my design look on this section? it will be half on solid metal and half on this, each honeycomb is about an eight of an inch in diameter, anyone painted on this surface before? thanks

You can get a satin finish clearcoat. Doesn't have to be glossy.

derp. apparently i struggle with the concept of google haha. in that case i would want to go with like 3 coats of it with high grit wet sanding in between right?

Don't bump.
And however many coats it takes to look good.

Well...that should have been an entirely new question.
How will it look? How good a designer and painter are you?

didn't want to post a new question for something kind of related lol. anyway, i'm a solid designer, i have my stencil on frisket film and it's ready to go. starting sanding and prepping the case today in between burgers so it's like 50% ready for primer. i've painted just about everything except a computer case in the past so i feel confident there, i'm just worried the design itself won't show up all the well on that half of the case.
