SSD Size Choice

Solution

I recommend the 840 Pro Series; however, if you are on a budget, the Mushkin will do just fine as well. :)

The exact opposite. The whole point of an SSD is that it has no moving parts; therefore, there is nothing that can break.
I will tell you right now that a 128 GB will probably not hold many games. Some of the space is lost to formatting, and when Windows is on a drive, that is where all the Program Files will be stored. Although this is modifiable, most people choose to keep it this way, and the programs on your computer take up a fair amount of space. If you can afford it, I recommend a 256GB for OS and Games (or anything that you would like to boot up fast, like CS6, etc.), and then a 1TB HDD for storing your documents and movies, as you don't need to open them in a split second. :)

All right, how about which one of these two:

Mushkin Enhanced Chronos Deluxe MKNSSDCR240GB-DX 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

SAMSUNG 840 Pro Series MZ-7PD256BW 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

One thing I was worried about is the Life Span. Does adding and removing games from the SSD really shorten its life?

i.e. I finish a game, now I remove it from SSD

LOL, thanks for your patience. I know nothing about these SSD's

Haha, no worries. And no, it won't. That's just the regular process of use :)
