i have an old gateway laptop (version W340UA) and for a long time i was running windows xp on it and everything was running fine. then it failed and i decided to upgrade to windows 8. This seems to run fine and does actually run a bit faster than when it was xp but it is not picking up my graphics card properly and so it struggles when it comes to audio video. it has a built in nvidia geforce go6100 graphics card. I've tried upgrading the drivers but it wont let me. When it tries to confirm the graphics card is there it says that it cant confirm the system and just quits!!!!!
what do i do????

I would recommend installing the latest NVIDIA drivers for your OS. That will insure it will be compatible and able to work. If NVIDIA doesn't have drivers for Win 8, it may not be supported by it.

Hope that helped,
