Hi, im making my own pc but Im getting stuck when i need to chose a motherboard , I have some ideas but im not sure. I want to overclock the cpu. Here are some motherboards:
-Asrock 990FX Extreme3 (990FX, pci-e, ddr3, 8 channel, raid)
-Giga-byte GA-990FXA-UD3 (990FX, pci-e, ddr3, 8 channel, raid)
-MSI 990FXA-GD65 (990FX, pci-e, ddr3, 8 channel, raid)
I need a motherboard with a good support for overclocking. And not too expensive.
Give me some tips or whichone you would use. As cooler i will use the "Cooler Master hyper 212 evo".

-thibaud

ps: sorry for bad english.

The cheaper Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 is well suited for overclocking, though it does have a cheaper chipset that provides less features (no SLI support for example).

If you want a higher-end chipset you could get the GA-990XA-UD3* or the MSI 990FXA-GD65.

*Distinct from the GA-990FXA-UD3

Ty for replying.
Are the motherboards With the "higher-end" chipset better for overclocking ?
And Do this keyboards support the GPU :
Giga-byte GeForce GTX 770 OC (1137 mhz, 2048 mb, DDR5, 7010 mhz, 256 bit, 11, fan)

No, the higher-end chipsets just add/improve features. Most prominently the ability to support more graphics cards in SLI/Crossfire.
All of these motherboards will work fine with that GTX 770.

No, it does support FX chips, according to MSIs own CPU support list. However, it looks like it actually doesn't support the 8350 in particular, which is really odd. Might be a mistake, but it's not there.

Both the Gigabyte boards do support the 8350 according to the official site. So I'd say pick one of them to be on the safe side.

Take another look at the Rock Extreme 4, much better QC and support than MSI, and a better made mobo, should handle anything you want to do

It has a 4-pin CPU fan header, a 4-pin system fan header, a 3-pin system fan header, and a 3-pin power fan header. The two 4-pin headers will run the fan by PWM, the 3-pin system fan header will use simple voltage control, and the power fan header will just run a fan at full speed.

How many fans can i use than ? cuz i want enough i need 3 connectors standard and 1 for the cpu cooler. My case got standard 3 fans but i want to instal one or two more. this is my case. http://www.power4pc.be/webshop/behuizing/miditower/ther... It would be nice if i can get a motherboard that is good with this case. But im going for the gigabyte but little bit scary cuz i will just have 4 fan connectors i will need like 6 , is there a manner to use something else or a splitter ? to power more fans?

Yeah you can use a fan y splitter, as long as the two fans on the same motherboard header don't draw too much power (usually not a problem).

Here's a fan y splitter for the 4-pin headers:
