Im getting a new heatsink and new thermal paste since I screwed up putting on the stock heatsink and now my temps at idle are around 60c. Now I am wondering about how i am going to clean the thermal paste off of the cpu. I have seen a few videos of cleaning off the cpus but they were all amd which im pretty sure have stronger pins. ANYWAYS i wanted to know if i should leave the cpu in the socket or take it out to clean it. Im not sure because i am afraid i will bend one of the pins if i leave it in. But i am also afraid that if i take it out i will get the gold contacts dirty. Please someone answer this
