Hello Tom's Hardware Community,

I have just a simple question. What should I upgrade from my current system to increase FPS?

I am on a budget and would be able to upgrade one of the 2 parts that I am thinking is the culprit.

CPU: i5-2500
GPU: Geforce GTX 460 1Gb

I am thinking of upgrading one of these to:
CPU: i5-3570k
GPU: Geforce 660ti

Which is the better choice?

Other info:
2 monitors: (1920x1080) (1280*1024)
Ram: 2x4 GB DDR3 1600 (Kingston Hyper X)
MB: Gigabyte GA-H61M-D2p_B3
PSU: Corsair TX 650

You have a top tier CPU so that leaves your GPU to upgrade.
What do you want to spend?

GTX760 should be about the best for that money

Is there any difference between the EVGA and the MSI versions? Cause Personally I go for EVGA

Whichever one you feel comfortable with. I'd make sure whatever you pick doesn't use the stock cooler, they are generally louder and hotter.
