whats the better graphics card out of the two?

EVGA GeForce GTX 670 Superclocked+ 4GB

or

Gigabyte GV-R797OC-3GD 3GB

I want something that will last and be able to play next gen games on ultra. I do not want a 770

JackNaylorPE is correct in terms of value, but price aside, the 7970 is the highest performing card out of the three. The 670 is next, though hilariously overpriced now that the 770 is out, and the 760 is the best card at the $250 price point.

What resolution is that monitor? For a 19", any of those cards should run the game quite well.

Yeah you should have no problem with any of the cards at that resolution. If the money's not an issue and you just don't want to do the 770, the 7970 is your best bet. Should be able to run the game at very high settings I would think.

Even at 1600x1200 any of those cards are going to kill that game on Ultra. They all run it well at 1080p in fact. The 760 will be your best bet because you save money now, and if you'd like down the road you can SLI it for not a lot of money with good results.
