GTX660M Skyrim issues.

Well, I have a Lenovo Y580 that is (was) a great gaming PC. However, after messing the original windows installation up, I had to reinstall. That was all simple enough, and I got a perfectly good clean installation. Whoop de doo.

Now, the problem happens. When I play Skyrim, I have the most ridiculous frame rate drops, stutters, skips, and it's only moderately playable on mid-high settings with NO MODS. Technically, the GTX660M should be able to crank out a playable game in 1080p max settings, and then some.

I tried everything. I made sure I was using the GTX not the Intel, checked my settings, updated drivers, checked power management, etc. I'm really annoyed now, and I'm not sure if there's something I'm missing... Can anyone help?

P.S. Before the reinstall, the game ran perfectly on ultra, with ENB, 2K textures, and 122 other mods. My computer is perfectly equipped to handle this game. Any reason why it doesn't work?

As I have said above, I currently have no mods installed, and I'm using a clean install of Skyrim. My load order only has two objects -- Skyrim.esm and Update.esm. Those are loaded in Bethesda's default order. Nexus Mod Manager doesn't apply, since I have no mods.

Alright, I should've phrased it better. What I mean to say is that I tried everything I could think of. There's probably plenty of people on these forums that know ten times as much as I do. I'm most likely missing something and it's hitting my performance.

As a matter of fact, my thoughts now are in Lenovo's Software. After the clean install of Windows, everything was wiped. Is there anything included in the original installation that boosts performance? I already got the Energy Management Suite from Lenovo's download page, but I'm hesitant to download possible bloatware.
