as some of you may know I have recently built a computer. I was updating my computer before I left for work and I come home to it being turned off when no one touched it. so when I go to turn it on, the power light flashes, fans spin and what not but for not even a second. it was all up and running going at it fine before I left, but now it wont start up. I switched out the psu with an old one and it turns on and runs. im not sure if the motherboard is what does it only after a couple of hours or its actually the psu. my parts are gigabyte ga-970a-ud3 mobo, amd fx-6300, g.skill ripjaw series 8gb 1600mhz, Seagate barracuda 1tb, lite on dvd reader/writer, corsair cx 600w builder bronze series, sapphire radeon hd 5750 vapor x, and d link pci wireless adapter. I don't know if the psu short circuited or what but it wont turn on and stay on unless I switch out psu. all help is greatly appreciated. before I send it back

what more would you like to know? all i did was do a quick swap of my old power supply from my new one to see if it would stay on so far, which it did. my old power supply is a 430w thermal take. i had it for a long time and still works. its just my 5750 requires 450w recommended so there wouldn't be enough power.

i sent it to a computer repair shop and he said he put the power supply in another computer and it ran. he said the problem is the motherboard. it must of been some kind of wattage or power failure of some sort. do you guys know what could of happened?
