might seem like a dumb question but im just starting my first PC build and went to install my intell i7-3770 into my asrock z77 extreme 4 motherboard.
when trying to close the latch it was very resistant and it seemed like too much pressure to me but after some searching I found out there is quite a bit of force to close it.
However, twice i stopped before it closed and took the cpu out and looked for obstructions or see if maybe positioned it wrong (which I did not) and hen put it back.
Could me applying near full closing force, then stopping and pulling the chip out and then putting it back (before finally closing the latch) have caused any damage or should it most likely be ok?
