First part upgrade, wondering if this was a good choice as a PSU.

So I really just want to be able to run games much better on my PC. I recently bought this GPU knowing it would run on my pc: http://www.amazon.com/XFX-DisplayPort-PCI-Express-FX775AZNP4-FX-775A-ZNP4/product-reviews/B007Z3T5JC/ref=cm_cr_dp_synop?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=0&sortBy=bySubmissionDateDescending#R3SMTT4MAKYQ03 , But there was one flaw:

My PSU Is only 250w.

So I went around on ebay and looked up a cheap PSU, and my tech savvy friend reccomended me this, and I bought it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/140971712665?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

But now searching around a bit, i'm finding out apparently this isn't supposed to be a good power supply. Honestly, I don't want to go all out here, I don't want a huge wattage and a super high quality PSU, Just enough to run my PC and the new GPU.

My PC's complete spec's: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c02859337&prodSeriesId=5080737

I can always refund the PSU as well, but if it's good enough, please tell me.

Cheers.

The PSU is a POS. (No 80+ Certification is usually a bad sign) Don't cheap out on them. A bad PSU can potentially lead to an underperforming/damaged rig. Get this:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139027

And use the rebate.

To be 100% honest and blunt, a PSU is not something you should cheap out on, for the following reasons:

1. A bad quality PSU can produce the most random errors.
2. A bad quality PSU can fry your PC components through overvoltage.
3. Good quality PSUs can last a very long time, and will outlive most parts in a PC build.
4. This quality PSU can move to your next build(s).

I cannot stress enough how important it is to avoid bad quality PSUs. IMHO, it would be a good idea to get a slightly cheaper video card and get a good power supply.

Look for PSUs from these manufacturers: XFX, Seasonic, Antec, Corsair and Rosewill; for example:
