Hey,

First a little info about setup:

Asus p8z77-v deluxe
i7 3770k
SLI GTX 770
Crucial DDR3 BallistiX Tactical 16GB
Corsair H70 cooler

Well, after a few days with my new graphics card and CPU cooler, I have something going on. Sometimes after powering down, the motherboard suddenly comes alive with fans running and lights flashing on the mobo. It seems like the GPUs get semi-voltage as well, since they start to flash/light up.

I suspect there is something wrong with my mobo or connections. I have checked the 24-pin power and everything seems fine. Will disassemble everything and try again today.

Any ideas?

Also, when I connect the Corsair H70 pump to CPU fan on mobo, i get N/A in the speed. This used to be fine a week ago. When I power up with fans connected to CPU fan and CPU fan opt, i get the speeds. This may or may not be related to the power issue.

Seriously thinking about putting my Noctua aircooler on the cpu again. But main problem is the power on mobo. Getting a bit frustrated now, since I just bought new CPU and if I have to buy new mobo, i would have gone for the Haswell, which makes my new CPU useless... :p

Hope you can help me! :)

If it was just the fan, I would not be worried. I turned off my computer, went to bed and my girlfriend said it was not off. So I went in and checked, it was semi-powered, making sounds and flickering on the lights. It was clearly not supposed to be like that. It's like a bad connection on a lightbulb.

So if I don't turn the power completely off on the PSU, it will probably stay like that until something blows up.

Also, the Audio is not working + this killed my USB mouse... But I can power up and it works, it's just annoying and I know something will burn eventually... So, maybe I should just ship it on warranty and hope it's broken. BUT, I really hate to ship stuff in for testing, and be without pc for weeks...

PC wouldnt start at all now, so bought a new mobo. Think I will receive it today. I tried with different PSU as well, no power except the LEDs.

Also, before it died, I filmed the issue. I would suspect a ground issue, but i checked, double-checked, and triple-checked everything, including reseating on the stands in the case.

If anyone has seen this before, let me know. :)
